One thing I love about shopping here in Suzhou and I guess for any part of China is venturing out into the little alley ways. These alley ways are narrow and always packed full of shops. You will find basically anything from kitchenware to phones or electrical gadgets. If you're adventurous enough, you can try a variety of food sold at the food stalls.
I've love visiting the tea houses and tasting tea samples. My favourite tea so far has been the ginseng, oolong and chrysanthemum. They also make a great gift!
